Anyone remember Panky bars, they were like wafer bars you'd get with your lunch as a kid, they came in yummy chocolate and skanky peanut flavours. Them was the days.

Yes!! They came in flat packs of eight, they were our treat from Galway when me Ma went shopping for the day.

Also used to get those iced gems around the same time, which I think are still around.

You do realise that was 20 fupping years ago? Christ I'm pushing on......

Funny how you can remember something when someone puts a time frame on it. First time I noticed this thread I knew I didn't remember these things. Patch mentions 20 years ago and I can remember them now. Last time I had one was in Clonakilty around June 1982. 'Twas the chocolate ones I liked.

I remember them too. I used to bring them with me to school for my lunch when I was nipper too. The chocolate ones, of course. Tried a peanut one once and I nearly got sick, pure manky those ones were but the chocolate ones were gorgeous.

Christ, 20 years ago. I was only starting school 20 years ago, as I was discussing with a friend of mine who started with me the same day a few nights ago. Hard to believe I know him as long as the Panky bars! :D

Panky bars have been sold in Puerto Rico for decades. My sister came back from visiting the grandparents in Puerto Rico and brought me a 10pack bag of Panky....memories :D:p

Pankys always 'flaked' everywhere when you bit into them... you had to brush your scholl geansi because it's be covered in wafer!!
