Anyone have any recommendations for a good suit-shop? Most important is range and price (ie, not exhorbitant!) I know of a handful of places but wanna try a good few before I part with the cash!

    It is what it's.

I might get hit for this but sometimes OXFAM can really surprize people...

needed a suit for a family do...went in and found a pretty cool one for €20...got it dry cleaned and it did the business...

I'll be using it this year for one or 2 presentations...

If you need something quick and cheap...have a look...

There's a place on the first floor of Stephen's Green Shopping Centre, near the main escalators. There's also a place that sell dodgy East German fashion nearby, do not confure the two.

    Also try M&S.

the 'dodgy' east german place is actually very good, especially if you aren't an average size.

I bought a very nice suit there a couple of months ago. one I happen to be wearing at the moment.

the older german guy with a beard who works there is very good at getting fittings right for you, and is very helpful, and the tailoring was very good on the stuff I saw there.

I couldn't recommend them enough. good value and good service with good products. what more do you want?

btw, if you want to buy a few suits, it's almost worht going to thailand just for it.

I got some very nice suits tailored there in 48 hours for practically nothing. between what I got and what my g/f got we just about paid for the 2 week holiday with what we saved.

All the shops were "Chiuso per ferie" (closed for summer) when I was there :( Checked out loads of window displays and there were a good few get-ups. Having said that, I hadn't planned to get a suit there.

Maybe an excuse to go back :D
