Right i think the options are:

    Eircom : 4gb cap : €55

    IOL : 8gb cap : €50

Has anyone used these servcies in Dundalk, what are they like.

I live around a mile(or less) from the exchange. Id be interested in the odd online game as well.

Currently phone is disconnected, getting that re-conned asap. Then its a simple line test before a find out if i can get it, right.

    Any Help appreciated

    The other DSL options:

UTV 8 gig cap. 48 euro (I think).

There is also Digiweb wireless (not satelite).

6 gig cap. A bit expensive at 54 euros, but worthwhile if your line doesn't qualify.

    Finally...

    Netsource RADSL. :)

Myself and a few mates have Netsource's SOHO offering in Glenwood. To be honest, its a relatively good service but suffers from the well publicised Netsource deficiencies now and again.

Its costing €66 a month and a 512kb downstream with no cap.

I would be wary of Digiweb's wireless BB service on the basis that they specifically mention P2P use in their terms and conditions, i.e. they can prevent you using it if they deem your usage is too high.

Yeah not a bad place, perfect for students. Its pretty certain that your exchange is enabled. I dont know what the quality of the lines would be like where you are, the houses there are considerably older. Dont know though!

For gaming, Eircom and Esat seem to be the best. There is very little UTV offer over either of these anymore. Netsources pings are all over the shop during off peak periods but are more han acceptable during peak hours...
