Hi, i ordered the eircom broadband promotion back in september (no flames please..). I duly received the modem and splitters on the 7th October, but I have been waiting for the user name/password since then. It appears as the line has been activated as when i connect the router, the DSL sync light comes on steady green. I have phoned eircom about 3 times and they keep telling me that it should arrive in the post the following day.

How long should this normally take--thanks...

You should get your user/pass via a phone call not through the post. Me thinks Eircom are giving you the runaround.

You get your username/password via phone as the previous poster said. Just ring back their DSL support number (the 1550 one, not sales) and they should give it to you straight away. Don't take no for an answer. You should have got those details weeks ago.

    Just typical eircom........

yeah you get a username and a security code. then your given another number to ring, give them your security code and then they give you your password. well thats how it worked for me

I rang them back shortly after I originally posted the first message. I spoke to a very nice girl who helped me out and gave me all of the details.

Currently, I have both my iMac and Powerbook hooked up over airport sharing the adsl connection. I am very happy at the moment.

    Thanks for the advice.
