I hear today that Kildare County have escaped with a €250 fine for fielding a suspended player in their clash with Finn Harps .
Rule 21.4 of the Eircom League rule book states : In a match under the jurisdiction of the League any Club playing a player who is under suspensionby the FAI or the FAI National League is liable to have three points deducted from it's score in respect of each match the suspended player participated in and be liable to such other penalty as the Board decides. The onus is on the club to satisfy itself that the player is not under suspension.

What are rules for ? And don't say breaking !!

The Eircom League officials are a f***in joke .

    Thats a joke.

What should happen in a case like that is they should lose whatever points they got from the game(s) in question plus a fine which is slightly larger than 250EURO. That might help the club officials getr their facts straight.
