Lonford people can chuck their Eircom lines altogether now that the local cable operator is offering 600/600 20:1 and no Cap for €49 a month including Vat. While their site says 'summer 2003' it apparently went live this week. The gubbinment gave them a couple a pound towards the upgrade of the cable ISTR.

The company is called Crossan Cable and the package details are to be found on this page Here
while estate maps are Here .

Longford joins an exclusive club with Dungarvan whereby a local cable company can supply BB over TV cable.

Longford and Dungarvan are the places to be! I wonder how many signups they will actually get...

I want 600/600!!! and at a mere 20-1 contention. especially since its uncapped. Can;t wait til NTL get some sort of broadband over existing tv cables going.
