network cable connection

    Hi all,quick question for yis all,what pins do you cross for a network cable 10 metres long going directly from pc to pc via onboard adaptors?I heard 1-5 and 2-6 but internet says 1-3 and 2-6!!!Can anyone confirm which?incidently i wanna achieve 100 mb connection...regards

    Pins 1 2, 3 and 6 are the ones with signals on them.

    1A -> 3B
    2A -> 6B
    3A -> 1B
    6A -> 2B

    Basically connect Orange to Green and Green to Orange.
