now my pc is acting up .. mainly the system clock is keep changing to mad dates .. one day it would be 4-6-1999 next day 8-8-2000 etc .. Could this be the battery on the Mobo?? or a fault?

also icons are not being displayed right (as in the icons down the system try etc are just blocks of horizontal lines) again could this be as result of he above or is the GC gone dodgy?

    Thanks

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Is that the clock in BIOS or in windows? If it is the latter, it's a software issue. If it is the first (so both), then did you flash the BIOS at some stage? Multiple (historical) dates might have corrupted BIOS. Flash with original or newer BIOS version

Problem with either battery or mobo would normally lead to BIOS resetting itself with the original bios date and not multiple dates

    Hope this helps m8 :)

The BIOS CMOS could be faulty. Dont have a clue how to check if it is.
