What films have you seen that dealt with Buddhism, and what did you think of them?

Best specifically Buddhist film I think was Scorcese's "Kundun". Didn't really like Berolucci's "Little Buddha".

I really liked Khyentse Norbu Rinpoche's film "The Cup" - about the attempts of a group of boy monks to get a TV into their monastery in India to watch the '92 World Cup - very sweet. It was shown IFC a couple of year's ago.

Of more mainstream "Buddhist-friendly" films I can think of my favourite is "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray and Andie McDowell - about a man who has to live the same day over and over again until he learns to live an unselfish life.

Interesting take on that film :D

Perhaps a list of Films and a synopsis might be handy here somewhere for those interested and where to get them.
I'm doubting that there are many in my local Xtravision.

Some films mentioned on this thread are now available with synopses and reviews and links to Amazon.co.uk on the charter page.
