    Hi all,

My girlfriend is a recently qualified dental nurse, she is trying to purchase a new uniform, its just a standard nurse uniform, but she would like to get the type with navy stripes on it like most dental nurses wear.

If anyone knows of any places in ireland to buy nurse tunics from please let me know, or better yet of websites in ireland or the uk that you can buy from.

    thanks!!

There is a shop on Capel Street that specialises in work wear and uniforms, including those used by nurses and care workers.

Im not sure of the name but its up past the road works for the luas on the left if you are coming from the quays.

Its open saturdays as Ive passed it many a time.

    Might be worth checking out.

christ, my ex is a nurse, and im trying to remember where she bought hers.
i think it could even have been arnotts. damn, i can remember what the place looked like on the inside, but i cant recall where it was.
phone up a hospital and ask. sounds stupid i know, but i bet the perrson on the front desk would be able to tell you.

There's a uniform shop (not sex shop - ffs) just up the road (heading into town) from James' hospital. I guess the thing is there's Luas works there so its probably gone out of business :(

I pass it on the bus in the mornings only but it would be closed at that time anyway (I go home the long way in the evenings - because it quicker - only in Ireland).

Tell her to check with the PAYE section of the tax office as it may be tax deductable.

There's a place outside Macroom that definitely sells the stripey uniforms (I know someone who got some there). I've no idea what it's called but they're known in Cork as being pretty competitive. It's next to the Teagasc office though (there aren't any other businesses around) so as a last resort:D you could phone Teagasc in Macroom and ask them the name of the nurses-uniform-selling-business next door.
