I'm looking at one of these two for work, but would appreciate some advice if anyone has used them. Don't really need the hot shoe on the S602, though it would be nice to have. Other big difference is the 10x lens on the S5000. Price isn't an issue as I can get them at much the same cost.

The S602 was a great camera, but it is about to end of life. It will be replaced at the high end of Fujis consumer models by the S7000. This has the same lens as the S602, but with twice the pixel count (and other enhancements). You should get a good deal on S602's at the moment because of this. The S5000 is very new, so I don't know how good it is or isn't. Have a look at http://fujigroup.net and http://dpreview.com for other opinions.

Thanks for that. The Fuji Yahoo site was very helpful. I'll probably go with the 5000 as it seems a bit more user friendly, if not quite as versatile .

I've been using an S602 since before the summer and it's a lovely camera, if your budget is tighter than your need for megapixels you could do a lot worse than pick up a cheap one now.
