Overnet and eDonkey2000 are made by the same crowd.
Overnet is pure P2P, eD2K uses servers to help out.
Both are slower than KaZZA, probably due to the overhead or just different user numbers/profiles.

overnet, emule, and the rest of their breed might be slower than Kazaa but if you know the right places to look you can get far more reliable downloads than Kazaa.

Edonkey and other P2P software based on the same technology are catching up on the like of Kazaa and other Fastrack based P2P services very quickly, more or less in the same fashion as Fastrack buried Gnutella very quickly. Edonkey and the likes accounts for nearly 50% of all P2P traffic in Europe..

I use it myself and while it is hard to get a good download rate, you will uncover far many results in any search, seems to be more hardcore users than the everyday Kazaa users.

    www.shrereactor.com

I never said it wasn't any good, just that it's slower at downloading.

To get the most out of it you'd want to ahve several downloads going at once to maximise chances of getting connections from sources in queues.

Yea I tried sharereactor with shareaza and overnet .... great site I was able to find exactly what I wanted and know that it wasn't a dud after downloading a whole ISO ..... it started my download but when I came back half an hour later I was still in a queue in all my sources.
