the simpsons has gone on for far too long and the last few years have been ****. however the first 6 or 7 seasons are genius and much as I love family guy I'll have to go for Homer and co.

Well done on your poll Sauron. I hope it appeases some of the people who were annoyed at me for not including animated comedies in my poll.

Yeah, where's Southpark? It would definately get my vote.

I voted for 'Family Guy'. I suggest you get a moderator to edit the poll so Family Guy beats the dying corpse that is the current Simpsons...

Has to be The Simpsons. Ok the last couple of series werent AS funny as series 3-7, but its still miles in front of south park. Futurama and family guy have their moments but the simpsons are way more consistent.

    futurama

it would of been the simpsons if the poll was dated back two years so in that case i've went for futurama, shame they've cancelled it

maybe simpsons will get better now

    Ren & Stimpy?

Simpsons may not be as good now as in previous seasons but it has stood the test of time compared to all the rest.

Southpark gets my vote for most subversive US animated series of all time :D

While the most recent Simpsons are pretty lousy, it's heyday episodes (as others have mentioned) are untouchable.

I love Family Guy but where it falls down for me is the fact it just doesn't have as many levels as the Simpsons. With a good Simpsons episode there stuff that kids enjoy, then stuff you get as you get older then more and more stuff as you watch the episodes again and again as you get older.

Family Guy is hilarious. But I don't think anyone will get more jokes with repeated viewing or that kids will enjoy it. You still watch it again and again laughing your ass off though.

The Simpsons was excellent about season three to season seven when it acted like a comedy series. Around season seven to this present day, it has been acting like a cartoon and has become utter utter crap. The ratio of good intelligent jokes have been dropped to a near-nil, and the stories have become incredibly stupid. I'm not even going into detail because many people, including myself, have been splurting out this rant for the last, what is it now, six years?

While the character in The Simpsons is stronger, Family Guy takes everything that makes a comedy and animated series great and turns it up a notch, and I'm constantly laughing my ass off. For these reasons, it gets my vote.

The Simpsons are my favourite overall, though I also like South Park, and Beavis & Butthead were good in their day! :horned:

Family Guy should win and wont because of what it set out to do. It was possibly the best caretoon/animated series because of the fact that it abused 'everybody' indescriminantly.

It is because of this that it got axed. No, not because people didn't watch it but because people wouldn't avertise during it due to the amount of public opinion from people who must have been watching it in order to get offended companies wouldn't advertise for fear of reaping the backlash of the American public.

So let us shed a tear for a great that deserved to go down in a blaze of glory, but instead was forced to putter off into the sunset.

Family Guy wins for me agaist the current episodes of the simpsons. Dont think family guy would have won agaist older verison of the simpsons.

As it's "of all time" I have to say The Simpsons. If it was a current poll I'd say Family Guy. But the Simpsons have been consistent for years now.

Has to be Simpsons with Family Guy as runner-up.

It's gotta be The Simpsons. Groening and co. may be flogging a dead horse now but the earlier seasons were pure comedy genius. IMO nothing'll ever beat The Simpsons.

The Simpson’s is great but its like a diseased hobo that needs to be put down fast.

South park has literally gone to hell.

Family guy, I like but not to the same extent as the Simpson’s, Futurama or even king of the hill.

    So Futurama gets my vote.

Slerms McKenzie and Bender are the best cartoon characters ever.

Has to be Family Guy for me, the comedy in it is up a class from what the simpsons has to offer.
