"If Barbie were a career-focused woman working in the IT industry in 2003, she would support open standards," he says. "She would be seeking out free and open-source alternatives to current proprietary solutions, saving her company tens of thousands of dollars on management headaches associated with tracking software licenses and preparing for BSA audits. She would be looking at deploying Linux clients on the desktop and Linux servers in the back office. She wouldn't be willing to sacrifice power for features, and she would demand a system that is stable, secure, and easily configurable."

    Roffle,
"Barbie would also be tired of Microsoft's licensing bull****," he added.
This si perhaps one of the funniest things i've read in ages
An animated Barbie informs the user that she can work with existing Windows partitions, but would prefer that BarbieOS be allowed to format the entire disk and remove Windows volumes for maximum cootie protection.

I gota say I liked this bit the best
Barbie Wizards guide girls through the process of partitioning their disks, formatting volumes, mounting Samba shares, and installing packages.

Tis funny because she has a point!

Barbie is more of a techie than you might imagine, I had an astronaut one with a computer back in the 80's!

The thing about this job is that I spend so much time on the internet saying, "I've seen it all now."

2 seconds later echo sends me a link or points @ his screen, "You seen this?"

So does Ken get his own Linux flavour?

Indeed is this the start of a revolution?
Will they replace the tanned smiling Ken with a stooped fidgity geek in a Tux t-shirt?
Will we have IRC Flaming Ken? Hardware Freak Ken, Hopless Gaming Nut Ken, and I Overclocked my P4 and dual booted 6 operating systems and now I'm coming running to the tech forums Ken.

Has Mattell in its infinite wisdom decided to turn their previous memetic programming on its head? Shall today's teenie-boppers be tomorrow's, "He said he's gonna give me a copy of SuSe 14!"
    "Wow he said that?!"
    "He's so dreeeamy!"

In yer face Captain of the Football Team!:D

I'd reply to this properly, but I'm too busy tracking down contract killers in ennis.

    Google gives me 203 results

    One of them is me.
    One of them is Echo.
The other 201 of them are employees of ours and they're all busy hunting down Phillip No(p)lan
