Upgrading of DART Stations - DASH Project

Irish Rail is commencing an upgrade of its DART service from Saturday October 11th 2003. All DART services between Grand Canal Dock and Greystones (inclusive) will be cancelled every Saturday and Sunday until mid 2004.

In order to accommodate passengers, Dublin Bus is pleased to announce that it will double the overall capacity on certain services in the area on Saturdays and Sundays.

Dublin Bus inspectors will be on duty along the corridor to assist customers. The situation will be continuously monitored and assessed and extra buses will be provided where necessary.

The following services will have additional capacity at the weekends from October 11th 2003 until mid 2004:

Route 7 from Loughlinstown Park via Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock and Ballsbridge to City Centre (O'Connell Street).

Route 45 from Bray DART Station via Shankill, Cabinteely, Blackrock to City Centre (Corn Exchange Place)

Route 45A from Dun Laoghaire DART station via Sallynoggin, Ballybrack, Shankill to Bray DART Station

Route 46A from Dun Laoghaire DART Station via Quality Bus Corridor to City Centre - Mountjoy Square.

Route 59 / 59A from Dun Laoghaire via Sandycove, Dalkey to Killiney.

Route 84 from Greystones Co. Wicklow via Bray and Quality Bus Corridor to City Centre (Corn Exchange Place)

Irish Rail are making arrangements to supply Dublin Bus tickets for Rail Only Weekly, Monthly and Annual Ticket holders. Please see the Irish Rail website for full details.
