Just wondering has anyone come across any options for installing os-x on a mac with no cd drive (g3 powerbook with vzt zip only and no firewire (scsi model) I'm guessing there was originally an option to get the OS on zip when it was originally realesed but cant seem to find info on this anywhere or if i can somehow break the install onto separate zip disks??

Could i create a VCD file so that the mac thinks its installing from a CD ??

Is there any way of expanding the intaller files to a folder to install from hard disk ??

Also looking for a partition magic type tool that i can partition my drive without formatting it,

Any Advice welcome - or anyone that wants to loan me a vst CD drive for a few days or would like to do a disk copy with osx to a firewire drive for me ??? (if thats the only solution)

Did you get the Powerbook yet? Are you still interested in the LCD panel ?
