Does anyone know where the the Irish TV ratings are published?? As far as I know these ratings are provided weekly by AC Nielsen. I haven't been able to find the Irish TV ratings online.

    Thanks in advance.

    Not really.

Maybe Eamo should have someone from Emmer farm on his show.

Oh wait he has said something about that hasn't he, but then he said something about celeb farm and he had one of those farmers on.

TV Now has ratings in it every week for RTE One, N2 and TV3.

    Medialive only show 15+ viewers.

Could we use the Freedom of Information act to view the ratings for all channels in Ireland? :pac:

Seriously though, why is it so hard to gain information about ratings for each channel outside of the top 20 shows.

Commercially sensitive information. You could ask RTÉ and TG4 for a full list of their programmes, but they won't give you details on other channels. I got a quick glance at some of the "other" channels that don't sell advertising, but RTÉ were unwilling to give me any more info on those channels.

One of the reason Bubble Hits ran into problems with Irish advertising, they felt that the cost of getting the TAM ratings for their channels was way above what they could afford but as far as the advertising industry is concerned its the gold standard and it is what sets advertising rates.

Does the media like papers and magazines have full access to ratings (outside of the Top 20), or are they just drip-fed ratings through press releases from the main stations?

Ten year old thread resurrected, I think that's some sort of record :)

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

Can't remember a longer one to be honest, this board has been around in one form or another since about May 2001.
