When you arrived in brussels the airport is a kip btw, trust ryanair to fly into bus stops !! you'll notice most ppl will be heading to Amsterdamm :) anyway just hope on the ryanair bus that goes to the train station it costs a tenner each way and takes around 40mins, then get off at the train station its big enough and you'll find a ticket desk i forget were it is just ask in infomation then the train costs 47 euros return ticket and dont forget a tenner on the way back for the train back to charlioe(sp)

The Ryanair 'Brussels' airport is (in typical Ryanair fashion) a good drive from Brussels.
when you consider 10 quid each way, + the cost of a train journey to the dam, + the wasted time (probably the best part of a day) you might wanna consider Aer Lingus.

sorry to do a tag on on to tthis thread.

if i was to get a ryanair flight to brussels, how much does it cost to get from the airport to the city center in brussels. return fare

Its €10 each way for the bus from the airport to the train station in Brussels. Or, by public transport, take the 68 bus to Charleroi South railway station and a train into the city centre from there - should be about €4 approx.

If you are traveling on via rail and its at the weekend, then best bet may be to make your way to charleroi south and get a benelux weekend ticket eg. return ticket to amsterdam = €35 - when traveling at the weekend.

There's a site for the airport which gives you further links to the bus service timetable (TEC) and train service (SNCB)

    http://www.charleroi-airport.com/BSCA/siteEN.nsf/.GeneralW/1DC20F528743E2EEC1256D6500450A23?OpenDocument&Key=menu1

The airport in CRL is a dream compared to what it was back in '96. It has been massively improved. You'll get your bags quicker than you'll ever see them in DUB.

Train journey is approx 3.5 hours, made the same journey last year as Brussells is dead on a Sunday. Travelled to Amsterdam and found it very lively but felt like a daytrip to Cork, I'd advise pay the extra and fly direct to Schipol.

Brussels -> Amsterdam return is €37.50 with a Benelux weekend return. Travel time is no more than two hours.
