I got a letter today from sky, saying that unless i connected my two connections to a phone line they would charge me more for the second sub.
The bas&&^, they never set it up on the first they themselves, why should i?
    any ideas what to do????

It is written into the T&C for 'Extra digiboxes' - so even if they didn't connect it, it is still a requirement.

The other thing is that they will also require both to call in from the same telephone number. They have a separate letter for this.

surely they must set this up themselves, it says no where on the contract that the customer has to purchase a connection wire (2) in my case and connect it himself!!?

Well im ringing them im not happy with this:confused:

The installer should have made you aware of this and installed the necessary wiring, all be it at possibly extra cost.

I would have thought that it was the installers job to wire the 2 boxes. Though as I haven't done any Extra digibox jobs, I'm not totally sure.

i rang them and explained what happened.
She put me on hold (as they always do) and told me that they would be out thursday and there will be no extra charge for the call out.
However, i have been told before that they will be out and they never come....

Knowing them i will get a bill for it.
I wish Chorus and NTL would take there fingers out so we dont have to use these guys, having said this sky is pretty great

It only took me 3 days a few weeks ago ! I rang on the Monday and they were out lunch time Thursday, not bad at all.

of course i did read it.
But I did not conduct the installation.
If it was installed correctly in the first place then there would be no issue. Its there fault.
And i told them so when i rang them. They are sending around a "tech" to add the connections, free of charge!

    Result :)
