    Would 144pin SO-DIMM PC100 RAM work in PC66 Slots?

More than likely yes. The only issue is if the ram density is high, some older machines can't read it. Ram density being the size of the individual ram chips.

The system BIOS can be an issue too, particularly with name brand models. Both desktops and laptops can look at the RAM and decide it's not /exactly/ what it was designed to work with and refuse to recognise it - or even refuse to boot at all.

Anyway to check if the ram im buying is compatable. Like checking the module sizes and stuff.....

crucial.com have a huge database of PCs, laptops, and motherboard with specs on what sort of RAM they'll tolerate. It might not tell you if a PC66 box will take PC100 though.
