    gig was fantabulistic!

much heavier than i expected, no acoustic songs which was a slight dissapointment but they rocked well!

didnt play some songs -'how to be dead' 'ask me how i am' 'never gonna fall in love again' -

I hope reindeer section play soon- Yer man Gary Lightbody's a great laugh live!

feel like i'm always promo-ing them on these boards, but just have to say they're one of the best bands around at the moment (and have been since bout '98)and last nights gig just completely proved it... ****in brilliant

any ideas as to why they didnt play some of their well known songs?

i would have thoght they could have managed the double vocals on 'never gonna fall in love' and 'ask me how i am' with the new guy. Iv only just got into them -cant imagine them doin those songs as a three piece!?!

also whats with the lack of acousticness!!!!!

maybe i should just go and see reindeer section and that will balance my life!!!

was thinkin wh they didnt play longer myself...

i reckon they've kinda decided to start afresh with the band if you get me

    new band member
    new label
    new album
    new tunes

    new direction?

just a feelin i had, maybe they feel the older stuff is documenting a different part of their careers or something, quite understandable but a bit of a pity if you've been a fan for ages:)

yeah but they played plenty of really old stuff - 'sfp' 'black and blue' possibly others but none or little of the middle album grrrrrrrrr!!!

don't mind me - im knit-picking, the gig was great!

that girl shouting 'LITTLE HIDE!!' all the time was amusing!

I also have a theory re the shortness of the gig-

dunno if you noticed but gary broke a string during sfp which might not have been meant to be the last song until he figured rather than delaying those few mins (a lifetime on stage) to get it sorted only for one, maybe two more songs he was better just to end the gig there???? just a thought.

I wanna be in that band!
