    Anyone in the Lucan area on Netsource SOHO ? Hooked up last night and couldn't get a download speed above 25k. Also connection dropped a couple of times.

    I'm using a Vigor2600 router from Draytek. Settings all seem to be Ok.

    Contention issue ?

    Maybe it's because I asked to see a copy of thier "Acceptable Usage Policy" (which doesn't exist - but which you're supposed to agree with according to the T&C)

    Do I smell a rat - or maybe it's just my credit card after shelling out for a less that satifactory service ?

    Have the SOHO service in Lucan. Havent been at home for the last few days but was getting around 50k constanty before then. Will check again tonight and let you know.

    Thats a nice Router. Have the 2600w in work. I would have gotten it for home but it was around 430 Euro! Way to expensive for me!

    Thanks for the info.

    What time of day/night was it when you were getting 50k ?

    I was testing between 7.30pm and 9pm (Rush hour for internet :) )

    Also what modem/router are you using ? Maybe I need to look @ the config. on the 2600 ?
