    Hi,

I'm not too sure about this (Thats why I ask here :D). I was looking into a laptop but the only spec that meets my requirments is 1500 inc vat.

I will be travelling around a reasonable amount (Mon - Wed in location A, Thur - Sat location B etc.) So I need to be able to take my work with me. So I started looking into the whole shuttle dealy :)

It worked up to 500 - 600ish without monitor or kb / mouse. I dont need any of the three.

    My question is...

Am I missing out on anything here? Has anyone got any expierence with them. Are they reailable ? I saw heating can be a bit of a problem and expansion is a bit off.

A portable storage device isnt an option

A lot of shuttle heat probs are down to gfx cards. If you don't need good graphics (Game quality) then get a mobo with onboard gfx & sound. This generates less heat and leaves more space around the cpu for air to circulate.

Got a spare Mx440. Would that be overkill ? How hard is it to make room for an extra fan ?

Interesting site zerokarma, but the prices are higher than laptops. How about $1095 for the basic model Celeron 2.0GHz
