    Morning all - basic questions here, so apologies to all you experts out there...... :)

    I've just ordered UTV ADSL, and am wondering about the setup. I really don't like using those connection setup disks that you used to get - would rather set up the connection manually in WinXP.

    Is this possible?. Is there any specific info I need to do this?. (Apart from username and password obviously I suppose).

    Thanks in advance:D

    multiplexing method llc-based

    Virtual Circuit
    VPI = 8
    VCI =35

    service is pppoe

    i've a question myself about UTV, and their email. I recieved my activation email but my hard drive went bang and i lost it, so i don't have my user name and password for my email account. How do i go about signing up for email. I tried the user name and pass i use for pppoe but it didn't work, is it somethign else like the name of the person the account is in.

    In WinXP : Use the wizard -
    Network Connections\New Connection\Select Broadband\

    Only settings you need are username and password.

    Firewall is turned on by default - but just check to make sure :)

    If you're getting a USB modem you'll have to run an install cd/file.
