Dance/House Music on a PC

    For a complete newbie whats the best way to do about creating some house/dance music on a PC. Whats a good place to start and learn about it.

    Get hold of Propeller Heads' "Reason" or Cakewalk's "Project5" if you can. Both are heavily geared towards dance/trance etc.
    Fruityloops is another good option.
    There are simpler programs like Ejay or Acid where you're basically painting with loops, but while you can get decent sounding results quickly with them so can everyone else, people will spot where it came from straight away and you can just watch your respect go swirling down the toilet...
