The Wind Jammer opens at 7.00/7.30. It is in Townsend Street, Off Westland Row, Dublin 2. to make sure of the opening time phone 677 2576. About 2 months ago Colin Farrell was in there just after opening times and all the kids were annoying him but he still stayed til about 2.00.

BTW it has sky sports but why do you want sky sports at that time?

I'll be really useless and say there is one on Capall street that definitely has sky but I can't remember it's name

theres one on talbots street near CIE, mahoney's or malies or something. Be warned it has a bite of a rep. Its for all the bus drivers and the like.

There's 2/3 pubs in Smithfield, the opposite end to the Liffey. Not sure about Sky Sports though.

The old 'Major Tom's' threatens to be an Aussie pub, maybe check to see if that's opening specially.

goto the aussie bar up on parnell street, if its something of aussie significance then they open early. Imagine they would be opening for the 'grand final'

Outbakk is the name of it, next to the UGC on parnell street....

pitchers of beer of your choice for a €10 last time i was there :)

thought that was started at 5.30am or so

are these early houses legal by any chance?

    yeah..they are legal.

i think it has something to do with the market traders in the fruit markets around smithfield and down near the quays

    Cheers for all the feedback...
Ended up catching most of the third quarter and the final quarter in the Chancery Inn. The football aside it was a real experience in itself. The place was absolutely hopping by 8am with myself and my Aussie mate the only two fixed to the tv above the bar. Place populated by an assortment of "comers-down" and pure hard-core alkies, mostly young. And it had a certain edge to it - recommended only to the very curious or those who find themselves affiliated to the constituency described above!
