    from Unison breaking news.

Twenty-seven Israeli air force pilots have issued a statement announcing their refusal to carry out "illegal and immoral" air strikes in the occupied Palestinian territories. In the past three years, Israel has used air strikes to assassinate scores of Palestinian militants and politicians. More than 100 innocent bystanders have also died in the attacks. In a statement released yesterday, the 27 Israeli pilots said: "We are opposed to carrying out the illegal and immoral attack orders of the sort that Israel carries out in the territories. We are refusing to continue to attack innocent civilians." Around 500 Israeli reserve soldiers have already refused to serve in the occupied territories, saying Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip is illegal. Many of those soldiers have ended up in prison because of their refusal to serve.

Fair fúcks to them! There are the type of people who can make a difference - and doesn't anyone see the irony of the Americans threat towards saddams armies that "I was just following orders" was not going to be accepted?

I just wish there was more people like this in the military

Damned anti-Semitic Israeli soldiers and pilots. They obviously hate Israel and want to deny its right to exist. They clearly support terrorism and are little to no better than the actual terrorists who are behind the horrific suicide bombing campaigns etc.

Well come on - lets face it...if they were anything but Israelis, thats what we'd be hearing from many corners....
