No satellite signal for Five

Since my upgrade to Sky+ I keep my old digibox for use with my UK FTA (V?) card. However since then Five seems to have gone, every time I switch I get 'No Satellite Signal' received.

I left it on Five for the duration of the game last night but no luck. I did switch over once on Tuesday and it was there but that was the one and only time...although I must admit I don't check it that often, it was just for the game last night. All others are fine (C4, BBC Three etc). Any ideas?

check the signal strength levels on the services menu.

your dish could be a wee bit out of line, enough to affect the Ch5 transponder, but not enough to affect the rest.

Yeah, I checked that...it's about 75%, is that normal? It is true to say that Five always worked before the LNB was replaced so it must be related.

75% should not pose any problems to any channel really.

Try the Microsoft solution - unplug the box from the mains and reboot after about a minute.

While unplugged you should check all cables to ensure they are tightly fastened.

Do you still have the old lnb?

Indeed, reboot is king, I'll give it a shot. Yes, I said I'd hang onto the old LNB in case I ever needed it (for whatever reason I don't know!!).

Well if the reboot does not work, re connect the old LNB - if Ch.5 returns, you know what is causing the problem.
