OK I'm just back from my hols...........

And I've developed a taste for it.

Does anyone know any good sites doing package deals for skiing holidays etc...

Have tried ebookers but they don't seem like good value - €850 for 1 week in Jan.

Also a mate told me that mid Feb is the worst time to go (jacked up prices cos of the kids on mid-term)

    any good experiences???

If i remember correctly, anytime in December, February or March are classed as peak season.. so you're best bet is to go either the first or second week in January but after the New Years celebrations of course..

As you said, the kids will be back to school and so will most people..

If you're looking for a good deal Andorra is a good place to start, the resorts are reasonable compared to the others, especially those in the Alps but its not much of a challenge for advanced skiers..

For the best snow aim to go to the higher resorts if you plan to go later in the year..

I'll second that. I've only ever been once and we went to Andorra. Class place. Duty free so make sure you visit the main city Andora La Veya (spelling?). They have a really good turkish baths there that are great for sore muscles from skiing. I would recommend Arinsol for beginers.

Kinda thinking of going back to Livigno in Italy this time.

Duty free also - but has much more challenging runs than Andora (2 of us going have a few years snowboarding but the others are beginners)

Directski.com not bad. Out of interest has anyone gone through these before?
