Nah, checked them out, their prices are good but the shipping here and then your import tax (about 6% of the cost of the instrument) and currency exchange all adds up. You'd be better off buying from Thomann in Germany - their prices aready include the Irish tax cost and their shipping cost is very reasonable.

Funny that you ask that!!! I just received a CD Player that I bought from them today!

I found them extremely helpful. They offered to match the price of any other authorized American dealer, and they did. The delivery charge was something like $40 dollars, which wasn't too bad considering how much I saved from buying it off them in the first place. And I did check out a few European websites and they didn’t come close price wise!! But that might have been only on the item that I bought, the European sites did seem quite cheap on other items.

They used UPS so the delivery is insured and it only took 3 days.

With regards to the tax, I didn’t have to pay it “yet”!! But the thing is, UPS rang yesterday to confirm the delivery address and while on the phone they told me that firstly, Customs might have to open the package to inspect it which I had no problem with and secondly, that I would have to pay Tax to the value of €77.44 which again wasn’t too bad considering how much I’d saved and I was expecting to pay it anyway. UPS asked me if I wanted them to pay the tax and then I’d pay the on C.O.D. terms and I agreed. But when they delivered today they didn’t ask for any cash. So that leaves me thinking either (a) Customs didn’t look for any tax and I won’t have to pay it, (b) Customs are gonna send me a bill. or (c) UPS paid it and just didn’t ask for it and a bill is on the way, but I somehow doubt this!!

The one thing that I did do as suggested on Boards was to put a little note in the message field that asks if the item is a gift saying Happy Birthday and then the recipients name making it seem as though it was a gift. It seems to have worked but I’ll keep you posted as to whether or not I have to pay the tax.

    B.

I bought a jackson warrior off them which saved me lots of money even tho the shipping was so much but they sent it in the wrong colour. And then the "free case" cost me extra to have shipped over again like they couldnt have put the thing in the case then sent it. Bastards prob would buy off them again tho :P

Buy and Sell. For the price of the one in Musician you could probably get an American series or a 70's or 80's real Fender model.

There's a guy selling an American Precision for €600 at the moment.
