    SF,

Possible yes But that would be totally down to the local tech. Eircom are under no obligation to do this for you.

    Regards.

I'd imagine a new line from the other exhcange would be needed.

But as previously said, eircom are under no obligation. Best find the technicians number and talk nicely to him :)

Is there any chance of getting a peak at a rough 'rollout by exchage' chart at all? I mean there must be some kind of list available for the next 6 months(ish) at least.?

I'm on an exchange that is 'outside Cork City'. I don't hold much hope of being adsl-ready anytime soon (if at all!?), but it would be nice to at least know if its definitely NOT on the cards for a few years.

...Even some indication of the proposed percentage adsl-coverage over the coming 6 months/ year/ 2 years?

Is the plan to _eventually_ have adsl available to everyone with a phoneline or will there always (for foreseeable future) be large sectors of the countryside that are never going to be 'upgraded'?

    -Kevin.

    Gombin,

I've just been told by Eircom that my exchange is not Ship Street, but Adelaide Road, which they said is a sub-exchange off Dolphin's Barn.

Is there any timeframe for this exchange being upgraded? And does the fact that it's a sub-exchange affect the chances in any way. I've a bad feeling that it's serving a lower number of people and is likely to be among the last rolled out.

    Thanks.
