The closest thing to online comics iv come across are the kinda of samplers on the offical site for marvel.... it gives you just a few pages of an upcoming comic.... the only problem is that its mostly us comics, so the could series a whole series ahead of us

Er, no. We get US comics only 1 day after they are released in the states.

ya ...maybe but just how many people have access to the specialised comic stores, i mean going to college in tralee but from cork.... i now have to rely on easons to get some half decent comics until i can get to cork again, and not everyone has credit cards to get them sent

Johnny make sure you have macromedia flash plugins installed (or do it when you get there) and go to www.marvel.com

There's an option for online comics. Mostly they just show you the first half of the comics coming out soon, but there's a comic player you can download, and if you sign up (free) you can login and download through this player all of the comics that have ever been available to read online. There's a stack of them - and afaik every ultimate spiderman that's come out is on there.

I tried registering with marvel b4 and it was pay only?? what did i miss? is that available on the marvel site?

Yeah afaik there's a pay area for marvel sign up, but there's also an area you can just sign up for the dotcomics. Let me check this further. If I can't find it then i'll see if I can lend you my login for this.

    http://www.marvel.com/community/newsletter/

Check this address as I think you can sign up without having to pay. I know the subscribe option is just for subscribing to buying comics.

I can't check that further because i'm already signed up, but if someone could try and sign up and post to tell everyone if it's still free or not.

I tried that link, but I can't seem to get anywhere with it, so unless it's just me, it's not that you have to pay, it just won't take any of my details?! Some else try and let us know how you get

OK I can't find an option for the comic viewer to download so i'll see if I can upload it somewhere at some stage when I get back online fully.

In the meantime for those who can't seem to be able to join up you can login to the members section of dotcomics with...

    Username: boards_guest
    Password: password

I'll have to check when I get back online fulltime if you can still download these dotcomics through the dotcomics viewer or if I would have to share out the comics themselves as well. I'll know in about a months time.
