should men feel sorry for women when theyre on the blob?
they have free rein to act like bitches and moan about how lucky men are they dont have periods.
Seriously - big deal. shut up about havin ur periods.
There are jabs u can get that stop them for 6 months or wotever.
women use em as an excuse for everything - their bad moods, theyre bloated stomacs, the whole shebang. they refuse sex cos they feel "nasty".... i went out with a bird once who wouldnt let me anywhere near her (literaly) for five days - i was only allowed talk to her on the phone like.
Its a bit of bleedin for a couple of days - get over it.

AND DONT EVER ASK ME TO GO TO THE SHOP FOR UR TAMPAX AGAIN.

i think the jabs you're talking about to stop the periods are a form of contraceptive, which cause most women to gain alot of weight and its unhealthy to stop a natural occurence like that anyway.
its not just a bit of bleeding, it can bring headaches, extremely painful cramps, nausea, bloatedness and just a general feeling of yuckiness. its a hormonal thing, the periods aren't an excuse to be bitches, but sometimes hormones can make us do weird things.
shup complaining about people complaining and be glad you dont have them :P

Hee hee, this made me laugh.

That injection, as Seraphina rightly said, is a contraceptive thing and not designed merely to get rid of the period. If it were for eradicating the period and there were no perils to it, every woman on the planet would be on it. No woman wants to have them.
the bad moods are partly hormonal, partly cos some men just dont get it and can be totally patronising about it.

If only it was as simple as a bit of bleeding - like from a cut!
Id never complain about it if that was the case.

As for refusing sex - I can totally see where thats coming from.
    The mess, like!!!!!

They are a neccessary evil, alas.
In a way, if it wasnt for them, none of us would be here.

Btw - love that term *on the blob*.

    Hee hee!!!

Periods aren't in themselves excuses for bad moods, but...

About 15 percent of women have dysmenorrhea which is bad enough to be completely incapacitating. This can involve cramps severe enough to make the sufferer pass out (or just want to), cold sweat, vomiting and diahorrea-often all at once. Strangely enough some women don't really feel like sex when they're in the middle of all that-though many are not adverse to it during menstruation. The combined pill can help, but it doesn't suit all women.

As for buying tampons-is it really such a big deal for a grown man to buy them (assuming you are one)?

I wouldn't let you near me at ANY time, ya bleedin' sap! (no pun intended).

Can I just say, i'm a girl and I don't get angry or moody around my period and neither do most of my female friends. But any time us girls are in a mood, we get the old 'ah, on the rag are ya?' line from guys. It's so lame.

    Funny ....

Lots of girls say that... Generally when they're flinging plates at you and the like.

Her : "I'm not stressed out with PMS"
    /flings plate at man
    Her : "See".

    Him : "Yes love".

I don't know. I've often found women who are having their period to be twice as horny - takes all sorts, I suppose.

I'd concur with the messiness comment, however. You could both find yourselves waking up the next day in a bed reminiscent of a scene from the Godfather.

    Ragtime,
I'm a bloke, but please shut the hell up.
Preventative measures causes a lot more hastle than most people think.
Yes, some women over-play it, but others genuinely do suffer a lot from it.

you sound like a well balanced bloke.
you should probably go for someone who has gone through the menopause, and then you wont have any problems at all.

Given that 3 of the people replying to this thread are all using the same computer I'm not going to let this go any furthur.

I believe I have pointed this out before, so they really should stop.

Ragtime / various personas, deal with it.
