Quite simply - use a scart from the VCR to the "VCR Scart" on the digibox. That will give you the best quality picture and stereo sound (if you have a stereo VCR).

If you also use a scart from the digibox to the TV then the video signal will go through the digibox when you press play so you do not have to have a seperate scart lead from the VCR to the TV.

Some movies (esp. Box Office) have delibrately "wrong" sync / colour info to upset recordings (Macrovision).

Any legitimate "signal cleaner" or "time base corrector" for VCR to VCR dubbing will fix it. Many TVs need this. Our Salora TV doesn't let you watch Box Office with flickering and "tearing" on top edge of screen.

Many studios are stopping to use Macrovision on VHS and DVD as they have to pay Macrovision a few cents for each copy sold. They have realised that only MacroVision Corp benefits from Macrovision!

(Disney probabily still "Macrovision" code everything. They even like the idea of time limited self rotting DVDs).
