08 message on Irish channels

Got a new sub card manually activated yesterday afternoon. Had all channels in about 15 minutes. But not RTE 1, NET 2, TV 3 or TG 4. There on the EPG 101 to 104 but Im getting the 08 message on these channels. It says they’re not assessable. Any help?

Perhaps you need to Ring Sky.

Or if yuo have a good aerial reception it might be better to use that as you should be able to manually tune in the BBC channels, all the ITV regions, Channel 4, five and ITV2.

The card is a bit confused as to whether it is a UK or Irish card. The EPG says Irish, but the encryption says UK.

The frequencies for the BBC channels are in the sticky thread at the top of this page. Check here for the frequencies for ITV, ITV2, Channel 4 and five.

Its the roi family pack. I can get all ITV, Ch4 and five in other channels. The problem is I'm in England and I got the roi family pack to get the rte's

Ah well, in that case contact Sky (without caller ID) and tell them that you want it sorted.

When this happened me, they did say it could take up to 72 hours for the Irish channels to come through, but geive them a shout anyway.

Rang sky yesterday and the guy said that I was ringing the wrong number that I needed to ring the Irish sky number for activation and not the UK one as I had done. I thought that it was the one call center for both Irish and UK. He informed me that I had had my Irish card activated with a UK signal. He then transferred me to the Irish call center where a very nice lady sent more signals and in sec’s I was watching Fair City.and had all Irish channels.

This might be a thing for new Irish subscribers to try, ring UK number for card activation see if they get ITV, 4 and 5. I had my ID blocked at all times.
