    Hi all,

    As im about to head off backpacking for a year , a replacement for myself is needed , the role is for a network administrator in DSS (www.decision.ie)

    Job description

    The position is for a in-house network administrator supporting a NT and windows 2000 platform in a busy office enviroment.
    The role also requires providing onsite support to some of our clients if need be.

    Responsibilites

    -WAN support/troubleshooting
    -Support and maintaining Windows 2000 (active directory)and NT servers
    -Support and maintaining Exchange 5.5
    -Ensuring backups are run successfully
    -Updating anti-virus
    -Support of all user applications
    -Support and setup of VPN

    Knowledge of Citirx, Cisco routers/firewall and switches are also essential.

    MCSE or relevant qualification/expierince definite advantage

    Salary : Negotiable

    I just typed that up quickly so ive probably left out a few responsibilites but its your average run of the mill network admin role plus you get the chance to work with our engineers and are encouraged to get more qualifications etc , its a good job (honest)

    Forgot to mention , the job is based in our HQ on Adelaide rd (Dublin 2) with some travel to our second site in Ballymount every so often , so a car is desirable.

    I would be very interested in this, perfect location for me too.. I just completed my degree in IT Management in Dundalk IT. Prior to this I done a Diploma in Applications and Support. The Degree was primarly IT orientated, thats is Enterprise computing, Java and Networking... On top of that there was two business subjects.

    I am a quick learner and very very keen.

    whats the salary likely to be around?

    how many users are there?

    I've been a field network engineer since May'01. Can you send me that link for sending my CV?

    Its about 80 users.
