Does anyone know how many PC,s running say Counterstrike online you could get .Using either a 1mb or 2mb ADSL connection. Also would using a 1mb or 2mb cable (cough cough chorus) be better?.I just wondered for arguments sake if you had 15 pc,s connected at one time would it be playable.

Anyone with real life storys would be good cheers.

I think the recommended is 6 or 7 players for a 512/128 connection. Ideally you'd be much better off with Sdsl if you were hosting games (i think its called that anyway, 512/512)

I was reading somewhere that in theory you could have 254 machines running but in the real world it would probably take a week to download an e-mail :D.Anyway glad to here 512 can handle 6 or 7 machines as i would be going for at least 1mb busines connection with a lower contention ratio.

PS. SDSL isnt available in Ireland is it ?.

Hey Stone.. long time man, SDSL is in Ireland, but only as a leased line AFAIK

Most smaller capacity leased lines in Ireland are provisioned over HDSL. Esat Business can provide SDSL from the 39 exchanges they've co-located equipment in.
