Pace Modem, Phone Lines, ISP's Limerick.

Okay, by the title it's obvious what this post is about......
This summer, I will still have access to the college T1, but everyone KNOWS how bad it has been since about Christmas.
I am considering getting a phone line into the house I am moving into over the summer.

In the Limerick area, does anyone know which ISP's are best??
What sort of pings am I gonna get??
I will play on anything SOLID below 150 ping.
PL up to 8%.

So can someone throw up a few suggestions?
as to ISP's and modems, and costs etc.

You'll have to dial dub for a decent ping, you'll probably get 130-140 pl about 5 but the more Fps u want the more Pl you get which is why koops has a high pl and his line sucks a bit too.

i use .cpp 50-52, and rate 3000 on irish servers

basically that means that the amount of data going through my phone line is the same as someone using rate 3000, and cl_maxfps 50

so its either my phone line or my modem that sucks (pace modem, so its probably phone line).

pffff you use cl_maxfps 60 and rate 4000
