Slightly surprised that one-one here has mentioned the riots outisde a local derby game in Dublin a couple of weeks ago, but in the wake of the clashes after the Bohs/Rovers game the Gardai
introducing surveillence at games and drawing up hit lists of troublmakers.

Anyone got a view on the issue now its in Ireland...?

    Mike.

Remeber the Ireland vs England match in Landsdowne, the Gardai should approach it in the same way. That is, batton charge the bastards.

while there is some trouble at games and the recent "casual" thing is worrying I dont think there is a massive problem in Ireland that said security at eircom league games is dredful sequrity guards either dont seem interested or are over the top.
It would be easy too lay all the blame on rovers but they are not the only club with "casuals" and pats have always had a few muppets going to the games this holiganism should be stamped out.
I think it is important though that we dont get carried away I have been going to Pats games for 8 years now and have seen only minor trouble at a small number of games.
No doubt the like of adrian kennady etc. hype it up with i wouldnt bring my kids to games etc but its not exatly a warzone I mean you see far more fights in pubs over football matches than at eircom league games and there are far fewer people there (well usually)
