    Unrequited Love

    So many times I’ve run,
    So many times I’ve cried,
I’ve watched you from a distance,
Cause he is by your side.

    And I would love you,
Love you till your dying days,
And I would show you happiness,
    The happiness in my eyes.

    So many times I’ve run,
    So many times I’ve cried,
I’ve watched you from a distance,
My love I’ve had to hide.

    Lets be honest babe,
    Your sent from above,
    Lets get together babe,
    Lets fall in love.

    Hmm... well done there.

It reminds me (somehow) of this one I wrote 5 years ago...

    Faint Heart

Floating home on a flying streetlight night,
Through the pane, the pain, that face- an unforgiving thought,
Nagging, numbing, - nurturing bright light,
Shatter now those feelings- long, he'd fought.

Fare paid, fair lady- again the deed is done,
Through pain, her face- and now she comes alive,
Nervous... Think! Not so will hearts be won-
    Shattered dreams, romance cannot revive.

    Dirt-caked buses, screaming clubs amuse,
That blinding light- heart-fed, dies away-
That hurt and shame, with no words left to use,
Just one more dawn- on just another day.
