Na that wont happen our first team is better than most teams and on their best days a equal for anyone .......Our underage teams won championships after championships against top quility teams

i could never see ireland get as bad as N-ireland

I've never followed the Norn Iron footie scene so maybe someone here could tell me if the I.F.A. have ever pursued the "Granny" rule like the FAI did to good effect esp in the '80s? I can't belive there are'nt good players with NI roots who could'nt be persuaded....

I think the point that was being made is that if your own supporters will be giving you death threats, then perhaps it may be best for the player and his family if they chose not to play for that team.

There may be other players who have been put off but the Lennon death threats bit who will just not declare for NI as a result, and would you blame them ??

NI where looking to get David Johnson to play for them apparently.

But after he broke his leg this weekend

I doubt they will be looking into this in the near future.

The great Ian Dowie has a very English accent. I believe Chris Nicholl was a granny ruler as well. And Danny Wilson.

Could be proved wrong on all three counts but I think I'm right.
