Listen up mate you must be seriously deluded if you think we were seriously spoilt for choice because the fact of the matter is that the football that was shown last night Ie: BBC matches and Sky Matches Inclusive of the french match on tv5 plus the Portugal v Norway game on Eurosport were an absolute atrocity in regards to football, and in reality the only good game shown on tv was
suprisingly excellent Russia V Switzerland Game on RTE !!Top choice by the programming department in RTE.

I HOPE RUSSIA AND SWITZERLAND QUALIFY OVER THE OVERATED
IRISH TEAM.

PS. INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL IS LOAD OF COBBLERS ESPECIALLY WHEN COMES TO ENGLAND, IRELAND, SCOTLAND ,
WALES AND I WONT EVEN MENTION THE CROWD WHO CALL THEMSELVES TEAM IN THE NORTHERN AREA OF THIS COUNTRY.:mad:

Someone missed the point by a long, long way.

eigrod wasnt commentating on the quailty, he was commentating on the choice available. In days gone by, we would have cried out for this choice. Be glad of it.

Now, if you want to comment on the specifics of Soccer, here's the Soccer board! Go and vent your spleen over there. And lay off the caps.

Cheers DMC. Glad that you at least got the point I was making and you put the case for the defence extremely well indeed.

I think the days of the TV stations being able to predict what the good games will be are still a long way off

funnily enough it was on BBC 2 Wales (BBC 2W on satellite) and S4C. it's the one i watched. good game

Germany v Scotland was on BBC1 Scotland

either way i'm glad they showed it much better than The Weakest Link and other programmes on at that time of day
