cheap online cameras

Okay I recently purchased a digital camera. It is the Fuji Finepix a303. I must say that it is a great camera. And i have had no problems with it as of yet.

But the reason for the post it to tell you all how much it cost me.

    US$189 - thats it. For a 3.2mp optical/digital zoom camera

What a price. I got it on www.buydig.com. Now this site does online ordering for destinations in the US only. You have to call them to get it delivered here.

I ordered the camera and had it sent to an address in the USA. This prooved a bit difficult as they reconised my card as a non US one and demandes a photo copy of it and some id of mine to proove it was me.

Once I faxed that to them i was all set.

This is why for international orders you must call them so that you can fax onthe details.

But they are easy to deal with.

I was in Cork last night and saw the same camera for a staggering EU449 in a shop window. What a rip off.

Did someone bring it over for you or was it posted? If so did you pay customs charges?

No, I happened to be in the US last week so collected it there. The currier they used was fedex and the box was not marked with an indication of what was in it.

But for international shipping it may well be marked. So you may have to pay customs.

Again I think if you call them they will let you know what is best to do.

And even if you did pay customs it is still quite cheap.

btw contacting them via email is very slow your best bet is calling them.

    Regards
    Will
