    From Terry Mosely (IAA):

    1. Prof Mike Baillie, QUB, has sent me this, and asked if there were any
    other reports:
"Terry, my assistant here in Belfast, Mr David Brown, reports that on
Saturday night last, 6th Sept, about 9/9.30 pm, just south of Belfast, he saw a
large bright meteor tracking approx SE to NW accompanied by an audible low
volume hiss. This is the first time I’ve come across a local report of what would
have to be an electrophonic effect. I was wondering if anyone else had
seen/heard anything on Saturday night, perhaps you could enquire. Best regards
    Mike"

    2. John McConnell has just reported a bright fireball, about mag -7 or -8,
seen from Maghaberry, Co Antrim, at 21.35 BST, tonight (8 Sep). It travelled
from Andromeda through Cassiopeia down towards the North horizon. Did anyone else
    see it?

If you saw these then can you please drop over to http://www.irishastronomy.org/reportFireball.php and fill it out.

    Cheers,
    ~Al
