The trailer part of the cast of season 3, which is a spoiler, since it would let you know that person survived season 2..

Okay, I just looked at the trailer and there is one thing which I'm really disappointed in already. It looks to me like this new young guy, Chase, is being brought in as some kind of partner for Jack Bauer. Now, if that is the case, I'm really disappointed because Jack tends to work better alone. Okay, I know he's had people helping him out along the way like Kate Warner in the last series but, behind it all, he usually works alone and I think he does some of his best work that way. Bringing in some new young guy to partner him is going to wreck that, in my opinion. Okay, it might be a bit interesting to see how he works alongside him, especially the fact that it looks like Chase is also going to be boffing Kim, but I think it will only hold interest for a short time before people are going to get pissed off with it and want to see Jack going back to working alone.

Something also tells me that this Chase guy is being brought in to probably replace Jack as the main character in future series. It's likely this could be the last series actually staring Kiefer Sutherland, or perhaps he's going to take a step back and not be a main character in future series, and it's looking like this Chase guy is going to be his replacement as the main character in the show. If that's the case it will be interesting to see what sort of a character this Chase guy is in the next series because, let's face it, if he is being groomed as the next star of the show he's got some pretty big shoes to fill.

just completed watching the whole season 2 in the last 72 hours. it was the most gripping 72 hours in front of the computer i have ever expereinced. i'd like to thank Shinji for the ftp skillz and all those who put up with me in the last 3 days on irc.

bind k "ITS OK! IM A FEDERAL AGENT"

anyway, season 3 looks even more crazier and i cant wait to watch it. although, im still not sure if im going to watch it one episode each week or wait untill all of them are aired and see them toghether in a short time. it sounds crazy (there's a crazy theme throughout the post) but its very enjoyable, not to mention crazy(again!) and unhealthy for those weak at heart.

im surprised that from watching a three minute trailer aidan_dunne has somehow got a synopsis for the season three and other future ones. give him a break, the Chase guy, at least he manages to bag Kim Bauer. here's hoping it rocks like the the crazy season two.

Thats a lot to surmise from about 20 seconds of dialogue aidan :P

Series looks like it will be as cool as premise as the last one, looking forward to it.

One thing tho, was it just me or did Kim look like she was dressed to WORK in ctu? Jesus if thats true then HAHAHAHAHA :)

24 wouldn't be 24 without a stupid storyline for Kim.

Yep.... Kim now works for CTU (can't be any more dangerous than the sh*t she normally gets up to, and might be a little bit less annoying)

Jesus, what is her job? Executive Bait ? Do they send her into suspected terrorist lairs and wait for her to be kidnapped? Genius!!

Well, I'm just guessing here. I never suggested that what I said is what will actually happen for certain. :D But, if you think about it, it's certainly looking likely. It's common knowledge that Kiefer Sutherland is probably going to be cutting back on his involvement in "24", probably to just producer, and will not be staring much, if at all, in the show after this series. So, if we take that as being true, and we know there are a couple more series of "24" lined up after this one, we can take a good stab at it that the typical Hollywood/US T.V. screenwriter's ideas of "Oooh, I know, let's give Jack a new, up-and-coming sidekick in this series so that we can ease him in as the star of the show in future series when Kiefer quits" is what's going on here. Though, as I said, I'm simply speculating here! :D

I wouldn't say I'm being hard on him as such as I've yet to see what this Chase character is going to be like. In fact, as I said, it may be interesting to see what kind of a character he is and how he develops during the series and if has the style and enough character to fill Jack's shoes, if that is indeed what is being lined up for him. I think, though, that having him boffing Kim on the side is another typical screenwriter's attempt at throwing another twist in the tale: "Oooh, I got another idea! Not only will we give Jack a young sidekick but we'll also have him doing Jack's daughter into the bargain. That ought to increase some of the tension between Chase and Jack!" Is it possible that the "24" writers are starting to run out of innovative ideas and are reverting to type? We'll have to wait and see.

Though, you're right adnans, credit where credit is due. Fair play to any guy who gets to boff Kim Bauer, the lucky bastard! :D Especially if he's doing it right behind Jack's back. Let's face it, you've got to have some serious balls to be doing the daughter of a cold-blooded killer (and ever so slightly unstable guy, I think it's fair to say!) like Jack! :D

Absolutley!! They could have cut her scenes by half in season 2! But then that would be hurting all the male viewers!
Can't wait to see season 3, the previous 2 were fantastic!!

Saw the trailer though very blurred but I soon sorted that out looks superb very similar to season 1 with an old baddie Jack knows returning to haunt Jack in Selzar, just like Victor Drazen. Kim looks glamourous but that storyline with Chase will drag, my one gripe. Was that Lyns voice I heard?
Looknig forward to it so much!!.

If you want it quicker - they're usually available within a day or two after screening in the states from the usual P2P suspects. Thats how I saw season 2 - saw the last episode about 8 weeks before it was screened on RTE

Not only are the widely available, they're mostly DVD quality with no ad breaks

or more like minutes. recently i watched the first episode of enterprise before it even aired in america due to someone grabbing the satellite feed on the air date.

i have decided to wait untill the whole season has been screened before watching it since its much more exciting. :)

I read an interview with Kierfer Sutherland over the weekend and it seems as though he has no intention of stepping away from the project as long as they can maintain if not better the standards of the last two series!

As for Jack working better alone, I agree, he's a maverick...he doesn't need a partner!

Kim working in CTU will at least give her a semi-meaningful role in the series although I too am baffled as to what her function there will be, what with her having no special skills to speak of...none that we presently know of anyway...she'll probably turn out to be some kind of computer whizz who can hack into anywhere or something like that!

The bosspeoples @ Fox know all about her special skills in getting the boys to watch this series ;-)

That would be most unlikely - Kim's skills lie elsewhere...

Jack: "Kim, we've lost a large ferocious cat up near the mountains."
    Kim: "I'm on it, dad!"
