Revised charter

This forum is for the discussion of pro wrestling

Before we lay down the ground rules, allow me to welcome you aboard to Pro Wrestling. We like to talk about it, we really like to watch it, and we like to have fun related to the subject as well as get some serious discussion and debate on it. However, if you can't play nice, you can't play at all! So please bear this in mind before you start posting.

Also more information can be found on the Pro Wrestling Biki, which be here:
http://wiki.boards.ie/wiki/Board:Pro_Wrestling

And with that out of the way, here be rules.

1. You may link to videos on youtube.com/etc. But please make sure they are relevant to wrestling - and not vaguely related to wrestling (some kid playing with toys, etc) ALL video links must be posted in the relevant video thread. Video links posted elsewhere will be deleted or moved at the Mod's digression.

2. No txt speak - c'mon people most of use do have a good command of english, so stop giving everyone a headache trying to decipher txt speak

3. All Irish organisation upcoming cards/results to be placed into the relevant sticky. Discussions can take place in normal threads, Touring promotions like AWR are considered an exception to this rule.

4. Personal attacks on users will not be tolerated - you will get an immediate and indefinite ban. This includes
Flaming/baiting/trolling
- Disrespectful posts, trolling, flaming, spamming, and aggressive behaviour will lead to a warning and/or a ban.
Muppetry in any shape or form will not be tolerated.
Posts which are made purely to get a use out of another user will result in a ban. No exceptions.

Personal Abuse
- Posters who abuse personally others will be banned. This includes insulting another user, making fun of them for something they post or do in real life, etc.. Attack the post, not the poster.

5. Any rumours/news must be posted with a credit - if you can copy and paste a news story, you can copy and past the url of the site you took it from.

6. Any arguments about anything that border on a slanderous or libellous nature will not be tolerated. If you are using facts in an arguement - please give details of where you got them from.

7. Back-seat Modding - There is to be no back-seat modding. If you see a post that you feel may break the forum charter, report it. Do not tell the poster to edit/delete the post, just hit the report button. Also do not tell other posters how to act/post/etc.. These decisions are to be made by mods, doing so yourself will result in infractions, repeatedly doing so will result in bans.

8. Arguing with a moderator - Do not argue with a moderator in a thread after they have given a warning or a ban etc. If you have an issue with a moderator's action then PM the mod in question. They will discuss it with you. You can then, if unsatisfied with the PM route, take things to Feedback.

9. No links to torrents, etc will be allowed.

10. No links to streaming sites which would contain copyrighted material! - This also includes discussion of workarounds to sites which have their content locked to their country.

11. Any non wrestling threads (e.g wrestling is ghey, will be deleted and the user banned for life) will be deleted and the user reported for being a prat.

12. If you are going to post spoilers, etc - please title your thread with "Show name - spoilers". To use spoiler tags in a post, type the spoiler in between
and
, without the spaces

13. Complaining about prices of box office, games etc. We've a consumer affairs board called Rip Off Ireland, that sort of talk would be better off taken there as we know we're getting the shaft anyway, but it takes two. One to charge silly prices, and another to pay silly prices. End of!

14. Off Topic - Dragging a thread off topic will result in a warning. Doing so repeatedly will result in a ban. Plain and simple.

15. Reporting Posts - Any thread or post that contravenes the charter should be reported. When reporting a post, make sure you have good reason. Someone disagreeing with you is not a troll, not all arguments are abusive etc. Do not reply to the post, simply report it and the moderators will deal with it.

UPDATE: Spoiler rules:

Anything that happens on ECW, Smackdown, Impact or a TNA PPV has to be marked as a spoiler until the show airs in Ireland (that's until Thursday night for ECW, Friday night for Smackdown, Saturday night for Impact and Wednesday night for TNA PPVs)

Anything that happens on Raw has to be marked as a spoiler until the Thursday night replay

Anything that happens on a WWE PPV has to be marked as a spoiler until Wednesday night

If a thread about a show has "Spoilers" in the thread title then spoilers for that show can be posted without spoiler tags

If there is no "Spoilers" in a thread title then spoiler tags must be used if posting spoilers. Spoiler tags are used by typing the spoilers in between these two tags:
and

If this rule is broken the poster will receive a warning. If it is the second time that a user has broken it they will receive an infraction, and a one week ban for a third time

If in doubt, use spoiler tags

Quick add on post thats not really part of the charter but simply some good advice. Taken from another thread that was closed to make some room. This is in regard to using the report post funtion.

"Folks, theres a mountain load of abuse floating around the forum at the moment. Theres no point in me telling you all to take it easy as no one listens anyway. All I will say is make sure that its REAL abuse you are reporting not just regular slagging or lighthearted stuff. This is the internet, dont take stuff so seriously.
Also, if you get abused DO NOT QUOTE THE ABUSE IN A REPLY. It means if we delete the original post we have to go and edit more to get rid the original statement.

Use your heads."

Charter tidied up and updated - 9th May 2009.

Please take a minute and recap some of the rules of the board. Rule was added to remind people that links to streaming sites of copyrighted material is a no-no. This also includes sticking em in your profile comments and linking it, as well as discussion of workarounds to country locked sites.

There probably are ways and means, but here is not the place to discuss them.
Cheers,
SR
