    IQ - 116

I also did the "fun" Test The Nation and scored 130.

    Not sure what that says.....

    Mike.

Well you're 6 points above the average, hardly stupid.

I did that test on TV, and I got 136, I did it just there and got 120.
    A Cold = the bad :)

    IQ tests = the silly.
Espically those general knowledge bits, they stumped me, and they passed them off as logic

135 not bad for a Muppet

Either there's a bug in the code or this Grolsch has extremely strange side-effects.

Cool test, one of the better ones I've taken.

I estimated 136 and scored 140 (I seemed to get exactly one wrong in each category more or less!)

Online IQ tests (and in general) i find stupid. i've gotten marks ranging from 110 to 145 and anything in between. so i'm either just above the average or a genius or anywhere in between. better than most though, but i kept second guessing myself and running out of time :/

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 5,945 ✭✭✭BEAT

It didnt give me my score! all it did was show me what i got in each area...how do you find out what the score is?

    lang. 8/12
    memory 10/12
    logic 16/22
    numbers 3/12
    perception 7/12

    can anyone help :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭Spunog UIE

heh heh i nearly missed it too as i kept clicking next, I'm fairly sure it was written above those numbers ya just put down.

I took the Mensa one years ago and did a hell of a lot better than on this (50 points or so difference). Methinks a few braincells have died off-or else I'm just out of practice...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

i took the mensa one (though refused to send it away to get it graded, mensa are much to full of emselves for me personally) and as far as i could tell ( i did it in the time and then went over it and checked with people and that) i did decently enough. but mensa annoy me. a lot.

The score is at the top of the dialogue block which the section scores are displayed in. Which is bad design to say the least.
I'd guess you scored around 100 with them....that is a guess by the way! :)
    I estimated 136 and scored 140

At least I was humble enough to estimate 100! :D

    Mike.

i went back to take it again to see my score and answered questions that i had run out of time on before but kept others the same and score went like this..
    lang. 9/12
    memory 12/12
    logic 18/22
    numbers 5/12
    perception 6/12

    score 98

On a brighter note, I may not be too bright but according to the relationship test I am ace of hearts scoring a 181!!! i think that is the highest score ;) so I guess that makes up for my lack in brains, roffle

152, thought I'd seen many of the questions in other IQ test I've done. Screwed up in th perception part, which is kind of a bad thing considering I'm a photographer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

funny how everybody gets above 100 which is supposed to be the average, most even in the 130's, either the test is no good or boards.ie just attracts genius's

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,446 ✭✭✭Havelock

Test is kind of easy, and the large part of Boards.ie regular users are brighter than most. (There are of course many, many examples of the opposite being true as well)

    lang. 11/12
    memory 12/12
    logic 17/22
    numbers 11/12
    perception 8/12

    score 120

:( the brain cells are dying! the brain cells are dying!

    111

    Language - 8/12
    Memory - 12/12
    logic - 17/22
    numbers - 6/12
    Perception - 12/12

Ah maths, always my weak point.

Still feelin the pain, eh Merc?

    --

Ok, I'm not flaming here: what's the point of this exercise then? Just a mutual "we're so intelligent" thingy? Or are you actually interested for some reason?

    --

100 is not the average IQ. It used to be, but I think it's at least 105 if not more now.

    Al.

    103 for me

and 173 on the love test thingy!! yaaay

i got 120. although i got 150 or so on an internet one a few weeks ago. seem a bit inaccurate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,335 ✭✭✭Cake Fiend

Estimated 130, scored 135. I rushed through it though, as I thought that it would take into account your reaction times!

I think it's only natural that an internet discussion forum would attract posters of (usually) above average intelligence.

Some such tests do take time into account. One of the lads took ages to do one (just to make sure he was happy with all the answers) and scored something like 63 ....

Online tests are the funniest thing ever I have gotten scores ranging from 129 to 211 depending on the test, which I think somehow could be wrong? No, no really :p:p
