Blocking ports with software??

    I know it can be done with a router but cant find any software to do it. Actually what i want is to block all ports, and only leave the neccessary ones open.

    Does such software exist.

    I'm on Win2k if thats relevant

    I think a firewall like zone alarm pro can do things like that.

    a firewall would do the job, you can set the ports you want open. I wouldn't go near zone alarm, I've heard from many people it's a pain in the arse. if you're going for a free one, give tiny personaly firewall a try, if you're willing to spend money there's plenty of ones out there :)
