    satdude,

Sorry, but as far as I know U.TV or CH4 are NOT available in the Republic of Ireland at the moment, via a Sky Satellite system.

In fact people are so fed up with this situation that there is a forum on Boards.ie just for Sky users.

If I was you I would get straight on too your idiot of a Dealer?..

    P.

This may come across as a little sarcastic but if you have an FTV card, try putting it in the box. It isn't going to work by waving it in the air:)

UTV and C4 aren't available on an Irish subscription card. The dealer lied to you.

Give it another day or so then. It looks like C4 is late.

it was a card available to the uk viewers that allowed them to view BBC, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 for free. you can't order them anymore

Leave the card in the box (switched on or in standby) for a day or two and C4 will most likely come on of its own accord. They send an authorisation signal out for the channels every so often you see - if the card hasn't been in a box for a while the card won't have received it so if you leave it in it'll pick it up.

Take out a UK subscription on a UK address is only reliable method for ITV, C4 and Five at present. Anything else may or may not be a waste of time and money.

NASN, Pout and ZeeTV all do standalone subs.

Power up box at mains with upside down card and check out the phone numbers in Services. DO NOT remove card till finished.

    Ignore error messages.
