Nobody in the business cares, because he's old. The current thinking is to rave on about some new "rising star", and then move onto another once they've peaked (which, given that very few of these "rising stars" actually have anything approaching sniffing distance of talent, is rather quickly)

Bands like Iron Maiden, Motorhead, and the like get practically no mention in the media these days. The media seem to believe that simply because they've been around for so long they're somehow not worthwhile anymore. If they actually went to a few of those bands' latest gigs, they'd see how wrong they are...

Musician? Never seen the man pick up an instrument, ***. His output in the last 15 years has been quite suspect as well...

Are you so naive to believe that MTV acts in the best interests of music as opposed to profit as private enterprise should? Do you think they should act as some benevolent charity, playing only the songs you want, for no commercial gain, with no ulterior motives and no responsibility to their shareholders?

Welcome to the free market. It does not allow for bad metal. There simply aren't the numbers to turn a reasonable profit.

I thought "No More Tears" was a good album and theres one or two good tracks on the last album. But for me the the best years were from "Tribute" backwards.

The drawback being that the kids would inherit half of her genes.

He wrote synth riff on "Who Are You" from the incredible SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH album.

Also, if you want to hear his excellent harmonica playing check out "The Wizard" on the first Sabbath LP.

Ozzy's a great man, but I can't help feeling he's the victim in in Osbournes. It's a damn travesty.

I have to say that I watch 'The Osbournes' for Ozzy only. He's gas to look at, and I've got his 'best of' double CD which is absolutely class (No More tears, Mama I'm coming home, Perry Mason, Bark at the moon, I just want you, Suicide Solution....the list of amazing songs goes on and on). So bollocks to any of you that say he isn't a good musician - he can certainly pen some fantastic lyrics which more than makes up for an of his (supposed) musical ability.
What I really hate about the programme though are his children. I'd love to give that son of his a good root up the hole sometime, and as for Kelly, her only reason for getting famous is because she came from the loins of the double-O himself. She has nada 'talent' full stop. And she believes she's glamorous does she? Well, if a big gut and an even bigger mouth make you glamorous then she's got the world at her feet. Pi$$ on her, hopefully she'll just be a bad memory in a years time.

Personally the Ozzy thats on the TV show is very different from the singer/musician. The show does him no favours IMO. Hes as famous for his Solo career (especially in the States) as he was for is Sabbath days. Hes a real legend over there. Has been for 20 years or more. People forget that the US is much more Rock focused than Ireland and so hes a much bigger deal there. The TV show is dire, it doesn't really fit well with his music in fairness. I think you have to come to the conclusion that hes' just totally wasted most of the time. Once the money comes in I don't think he cares. Which is sad really. Sharon's well known to be very "business" focused. From a cold business prespective it makes perfect sense. But its prostituting Ozzy and his career. That said he probably doesn't give a toss.

Back to listening to S.A.T.O ....
